The Atlas of Beauty by Romanian photographer will soon be displayed in Washington DC

The famous Romanian photographer, Mihaela Noroc, will have her work “The Atlas of Beauty” displayed at the gallery space of the Delegation of the European Union in Washington DC. Feminine beauty in its infinite facets and forms, opens soon on May 30.

The gallery event is organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York with the support of the Romanian Embassy to the United States. The same display at the United Nations Headquarters in March this year was remarkable.

The exhibition displays a selection of the 500+ women portraits from all regions and races of the world, which the intrepid Romanian artist has captured during several years of global journeys.

Mihaela Noroc is a world-renowned photographer whose work is shown primarily through her social media projects. She studied Photo-Video at The National University of Arts in Bucharest. In 2012, after several years of work in various other domains, Mihaela decided to focus all her energy on her first love: photography.

Atlas of Beauty collection

A trip to Ethiopia, where she discovered incredible feminine faces, inspired her to start shooting “The Atlas of Beauty”, which proved immensely popular and launched her international career. The Atlas of Beauty. Women of the World in 500 Portraits was first published by Ten Speed Press in September 2017; the Romanian edition, released by Humanitas Publishing House, followed shortly. Mihaela’s work has been featured by the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, The Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN, and the BBC.
